Wonderland

Wonderland is an art and science collaboration between artist/ designer Helen Storey (London College of Fashion), scientist Tony Ryan (University of Sheffield ) and Trish Belford, textile designer ( Interface, University of Ulster).   Over the past three years, the team has worked together to create real solutions for a more sustainable world. For the first time visitors can see the results of their research and dialogue,   The works that will be shown at Ormeau Baths Gallery are powerful visualisation of these discussions: Five ‘Disappearing Dresses’, made from the textiles developed at Interface, bottles that turn to seeds and then flowers, and for the first time, films which show how the textiles for the dresses were developed as a focus for the work at University of Ulster.
