School Activities:

Tours and Workshops

Tours and workshops are designed to generate critical thinking and promote discussion. We also organise tours and workshops based around a particular topic or tailor made for your class. Contact us to arrange a free tour or workshop. (Booking is required at least a fortnight in advance)

Artist in Residency

Now in its third year, this scheme was set up to introduce contemporary art into the classroom, especially for schools with little access to art or facilities. Over the course of a term an artist works closely with the teacher and class to enhance and bring alive areas of the curriculum.  The next applications will open in April 2011.

Great Art Quest

OBG is pleased to have been selected as one of four major art centres in the U.K to take part in the Great Art Quest, through the Princes Foundation for Children and the Arts. This scheme is designed to introduce key stage two primary school children to visual art in a gallery setting and involves working in the school and gallery with a storyteller and visual artist.

Art in Progress:
Children’s Exhibition

OBG is delighted to present this exhibition which presents the results of three children’s projects with which OBG has engaged in the last year. It is set to be an exciting celebration of Children’s artwork incorporating a wide range of themes and diverse range of materials. The exhibition will be open to the public for a week from Tuesday 29th March – Saturday 2nd April 2011
